Sport
There are a variety of sports options available for our students.
- Children participate in a variety of coaching clinics throughout the year for example, Auskick Football, Soccer, Cricket, Netball and Tennis.
- The St Joseph’s Parish School Sports Day is designed for all students to be able to participate, with a number of traditional athletic events as well as tabloids. The students are split into two sports teams – MacKillop (sky blue) and St Joseph’s (yellow). Siblings and family members are placed in the same team where possible.
- SAPSASA is a large component of the extracurricular Physical Education programme throughout the year. Information regarding sporting events is sent out to students and parents as soon as it becomes available from the country coordinators.
- In Term 1 the annual Rocky River Sports Day is held. Participating schools are St Joseph’s Parish School, Gladstone Primary School, Laura Primary School, and Wirrabara Primary School. The event is rotated annually amongst the schools for hosting the day and events.
- The school's Physical Education/Sporting program is primarily conducted at the Southern Flinders Regional Sports Complex.
